Before you start building, make sure you have lots and lots of wood. If you open up your inventory while standing near your new crafting table you'll be able to craft more advanced items. Given time, they will grow into a new forest. If you're worried about all the mass deforestation you're doing, you can plant acorns gathered from chopped trees. Gel can be combined with wood to create torches, invaluable for the cave exploring we'll be doing later on. Dead slimes drop flammable gel and money. Bludgeon them to death with your pickaxe (it has a faster swing and is more effective than a wooden sword against annoying hopping enemies like slimes). They're as useful as they are irritating. They hop around the surface in daylight hours, generally making a nuisance of themselves. You'll find yourself interrupted constantly by Slimes. Once you're back in the world, select the crafting table, with your mouse, or with one of the 1-9 hotkeys, and left click to plop it down on a flat bit of ground. Once you've got a workbench, drop it into your task bar. Clicking on these items a couple of times will deposit them straight into your inventory. Below this, you'll see a list of the items you can craft with the materials in your pockets. Pressing escape brings up your inventory menu. Try mining the tiles underneath graves rather than mining the graves themselves, as this can entirely avoid spawning any unwanted Ghosts.Once you have wood, you can make a workbench. If you ever get an item such as a Zenith you can turn this in an easy coin farm due to the enemy spawn rate. The Dryad sells Crimson Seeds in a Corrupt world and Corrupt Seeds in a Crimson world during Hardmode when housed in a Graveyard biome, meaning one can get both evil biomes in one world without bringing some items from other worlds.Due to the high spawn rate, having a Graveyard can be useful for farming coins.Another option is to mine one-tile gaps in the ground and platforms such that Tombstones cannot be placed when they drop or to hammer the ground. Using Sunflowers around common death spots such as arenas can help to prevent a Graveyard from being created without the need to constantly mine Tombstones. This is especially true for Mediumcore players, as generating Tombstones over and over on the same spawnpoint can lead to a softlock situation, where it becomes almost impossible to retrieve items without being attacked. An underground Graveyard will generate Ecto Mist, but not spawn its enemies.Īvoid letting Tombstones accumulate around one's base/spawn point during the early game due to the large number of enemies spawning in a Graveyard, including the particularly powerful enemies. The Happy! buff is revoked in a Graveyard.Maggot Zombies and Werewolves (only during Full Moon nights) immediately open doors, similarly to Blood Moon enemies. In this biome, every Zombie has the ability to open doors, albeit randomly. However, the Painter will not sell the paintings Daylight, First Encounter, Good Morning, Underground Reward, Through the Window, Place Above the Clouds, and Sky Guardian if he is spoken to in a Graveyard. As a Graveyard is always in combination with a different biome, their happiness value will be based on the other present biome. Although NPCs will complain when in a Graveyard, it does not actually affect their happiness at all.NPCs in worlds with Hardcore characters will drop tombstones when they are killed, making it possible to build a Graveyard without sacrificing a character. While night-only enemies can spawn at daytime through the graveyard, nocturnal bosses still cannot be spawned during the day. This could previously be toggled on and off with the "Blood and Gore" setting, but this appears to have been patched. A large amount of Ecto Mist coats surfaces in Graveyard biomes, which can obscure items like Pressure Plates. All Tombstones within a rectangular area of 169×125 ( ) / 100×84 ( ) tiles centered on the player are considered when determining whether the area is a Graveyard biome. As they exit, the handkerchief drops unnoticed by either of them. He warns Othello against becoming jealous of Desdemona. When Desdemona enters and Othello complains of an aching head, Desdemona offers to bind his head with her handkerchief. When she exits, Iago says that Cassio’s avoidance of Othello is suspicious and that Cassio may not be honorable, all the while insinuating that he, Iago, knows more than he is willing to say. Desdemona pleads to Othello on Cassio’s behalf. Cassio leaves hastily in order to avoid speaking with Othello. Act 3, scene 3 Desdemona’s interview with Cassio is cut short by the arrival of Othello.Act 3, scene 2 Othello prepares to tour Cyprus’s fortifications. As Iago has recommended, Cassio asks Emilia to arrange a meeting with Desdemona, even though Emilia assures him that Desdemona is already urging Othello to reinstate him. Act 3, scene 1 Cassio arrives with musicians to honor Othello and Desdemona. The next step in Iago’s plan is to tell Othello that Desdemona supports Cassio because Cassio is her lover. Iago advises Cassio to seek Desdemona’s help in getting reinstated. Othello, called from his bed by the noise, stops the brawl and strips Cassio of his lieutenancy. Act 2, scene 3 Iago gets Cassio drunk, making it easy for Roderigo to provoke Cassio into a brawl, first with Roderigo, then with Montano, whom he wounds.Act 2, scene 2 Othello proclaims a public celebration.Iago, putting his plot into action, persuades Roderigo that Desdemona is in love with Cassio and that Roderigo should help get Cassio dismissed from the lieutenancy. When his ship arrives, he and Desdemona joyfully greet each other. Act 2, scene 1 The Turkish fleet is destroyed in a storm, while Cassio and then Desdemona, Emilia, and Iago arrive safely at Cyprus.Iago begins to plot to himself how he may use Othello’s marriage to get back at Othello and to get Cassio’s place as lieutenant. Alone with Iago, Roderigo, now in despair of winning Desdemona’s love, threatens suicide, but Iago persuades him instead to sell his lands for ready cash and to pursue Desdemona to Cyprus. Othello gives Iago the duty of conveying Desdemona to Cyprus. The duke orders Othello immediately to Cyprus and grants Desdemona her wish to join him there. She thereby vindicates Othello before the senate. Othello describes his courtship of Desdemona, who, when she enters, tells her father and the senators that she has married Othello because she loves him. At Othello’s suggestion, the duke sends for Desdemona. When Brabantio and Othello arrive, the duke insists on evidence to support the old man’s charge that Othello has bewitched Desdemona. Act 1, scene 3 The duke and the senators discuss the movements of the Turkish fleet and conclude that its target is, indeed, Cyprus.Brabantio and his armed band come to seize Othello, who persuades Brabantio to accompany him to the duke, where Othello has been summoned and where Brabantio can present his case against Othello for his “theft” of Desdemona. Cassio arrives with orders for Othello: Othello is to meet with the duke and senators of Venice about a Turkish invasion of the Venetian colony of Cyprus. Act 1, scene 2 Iago warns Othello about Brabantio’s anger, but Othello is confident in his own strength and in his love for Desdemona. This news enrages Brabantio, who organizes an armed band to search out Othello. At Iago’s suggestion, he and Roderigo, a former suitor to Desdemona, awake Desdemona’s father to tell him that Desdemona has eloped with Othello. Act 1, scene 1 In the streets of Venice, Iago tells Roderigo of his hatred for Othello, who has given Cassio the lieutenancy that Iago wanted and has made Iago a mere ensign. Othello goes mad with jealousy and later smothers Desdemona on their marriage bed, only to learn of Iago’s treachery. Iago uses this and other ploys-misinterpreted conversations, insinuations, and a lost handkerchief-to convince Othello that Desdemona and Cassio are lovers. He lures Cassio into a drunken fight, for which Cassio loses his new rank Cassio, at Iago’s urging, then begs Desdemona to intervene. The Senate agrees to let her join Othello in Cyprus. In Cyprus, Iago continues to plot against Othello and Cassio. She tells of her love for Othello, and the marriage stands. The Senators wish to send Othello to Cyprus, which is under threat from Turkey. Before the Venetian Senate, Brabantio accuses Othello of bewitching Desdemona. Othello has promoted Cassio, not Iago, to be his lieutenant.Iago crudely informs Brabantio, Desdemona’s father, that Othello and Desdemona have eloped. The specific deficits outlined in this criteria include: Deficits in Social-Emotional Reciprocity Individuals with autism often struggle with various aspects of social interaction. The first set of criteria, known as Criteria A, focuses on persistent deficits in social communication and social interaction. Criteria A: Persistent Deficits in Social Communication and Social Interaction These criteria help professionals identify persistent deficits in social communication and social interaction that are characteristic of ASD. The DSM-5 outlines several criteria that must be met in order to receive an autism diagnosis. The DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) provide clinicians with a standardized framework for assessing and diagnosing individuals with autism. It provides a standardized and reliable framework that aids in accurate identification, early intervention, and access to appropriate resources. Understanding the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for autism is essential for individuals seeking a diagnosis, as well as for professionals involved in the evaluation and support of individuals with autism. The accurate identification of autism allows for early intervention and access to specialized services that can improve outcomes for individuals on the autism spectrum. The DSM-5 criteria also play a vital role in ensuring that individuals with autism receive appropriate support and interventions. By specifying the unique characteristics and behaviors associated with autism, the DSM-5 criteria enable professionals to make a more precise diagnosis. Moreover, the diagnostic criteria help differentiate autism from other developmental disorders or conditions that may share similar symptoms. The criteria help ensure consistency across different healthcare professionals, leading to more reliable and valid diagnoses. First and foremost, they provide a standardized framework that helps clinicians accurately identify and diagnose individuals with autism. The diagnostic criteria outlined in the DSM-5 for autism are crucial for several reasons. Importance of Diagnostic Criteria for Autism Its primary goal is to ensure that clinicians have a common language and framework when diagnosing and treating individuals with mental health disorders. The DSM-5 is regularly updated to incorporate new research findings and advances in the understanding of mental health conditions. It serves as a guide for clinicians to make consistent and reliable diagnoses based on a set of specific symptoms and criteria. The DSM-5 is a handbook published by the American Psychiatric Association that provides standardized criteria for the diagnosis of mental health disorders. The DSM-5 is a widely recognized diagnostic tool used by clinicians and researchers to classify and diagnose various mental health conditions, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD). To effectively diagnose and identify individuals with autism, professionals utilize the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5). Understanding Autism Diagnostic Criteria (DSM-5) These sizes are also known as “Bulletin” sizes, because they were originally created to post bulletins at churches and schools. This is the second most common standard poster size and referred to as “poster flyers” or “A3-sized.” It is primarily used for posters that require a more significant paper size (such as architectural drawings). The size is larger than letter size and smaller than standard sheet size. These standard tabloid pages were originally created and used in newspaper and magazine printing. May be used for office documents, photo prints (for example, school classes), and now is also common for posters.ġ1″ x 17″ (Ledger-Size, Bulletin Posters)Ī standard ledger-sized piece of paper – 11″ wide and 17″ high. Street advertisements, art galleries, and community bulletin boards are common places where letter-sized posters may be seen. This is the most frequently used size for posters and typically referred to as “ poster flyers” or “A4-sized,” which is the smallest conventional poster format. Other teachings of the Medicine Wheel focus on developmental stages. This is referred to as Mino-Bimaadisiwin (the Good Life). Each and every day, individuals strive for a balanced life. This duality in life is experienced as night and day, rain and sunshine, men and women, sun and moon and so on. The negative and positive aspects of life also speak to the duality in life. We know the rascals are there and are always trying to interfere with having a good balanced life. The negative side of the wheel are known as the rascals. The negative aspects are reflected in inferior feelings, envy, resentment, and uncaring which leads one to jealousy. The positive aspects are reflected in good feelings, relationships, respect and caring which contribute to being able to listen and heal. The Hub describes both positive and negative aspects of our being. Nabigon (2006) refers to the Medicine Wheel as the Hub. Helpers who are able to apply the lessons of the Medicine Wheel and the Seven Grandfather Teachings in their life will be able to develop wise practices in their work and learn the art of working from the heart.” (Nabigon et al., 2014) Training can be gained, but learning and healing is an on-going growth process. They need to be able to truly listen to their own heart before they can hear the heart of another. “Helpers who seek wise practices must seek their own healing. By looking at the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual aspects of our lives, we will then be able to see where we are unbalanced and be able to develop a plan of care to find that harmony to be better helpers. How are we able to assist a person in need if we have not used the tool of self-reflection to evaluate where we are as helpers? We must look at all aspects of our lives and the relations we have to fully understand where we are on our journey. In using the Medicine Wheel in this manner you might also explore what can be done to become re-balanced.įinding balance among the four quadrants of the Medicine Wheel is essential for a helper. When we become out of balance, we experience disease. The Medicine Wheel reminds us that we need to balance all four aspects of our being – the spiritual, emotional, physical and mental aspects. One way to use the Medicine Wheel is as a self-assessment to determine how balanced one is. The four symbolic races of humanity are depicted on this circle: Source: James Dumont (1993) “Justice and Aboriginal People” These are the foundational values used in the School of Indigenous Relations – Indigenous Social Work program at Laurentian University. The following teachings on the Medicine Wheel by James Dumont (1993) depicts Ojibwe Anishinabe values. The medicine wheel reminds us that everything comes in fours – the four seasons, the four stages of life, the four races of humanity, four cardinal directions, etc. For Ojibwe people, the colours are yellow (east), red (south), black (west), white (north), father sky (blue), mother earth (green) and the self (Centre, purple). There are really seven directions associated with the Medicine Wheel – the four cardinal directions (north, south, east and west) as well as the sky, the earth and the centre. The colours of the Medicine Wheel will also vary depending on the teachings and the location. For example, the teachings that come from someone on the east coast of Canada will be different from someone’s teaching who lives in central Canada or from someone who lives on the west coast. We also learned that there are many versions of the Medicine Wheel teachings depending where one resides, yet the foundation concepts are similar. We learned in Chapter 1 that the Medicine Wheel teachings contain the values and principles for how Indigenous people are to conduct themselves in order to reach mino bimaadiziwin – the good life. The Sacred Circle of the Medicine Wheel, and the Sacred Teachings, encapsulate all the spiritual wisdom required to guide the healing journey, sustain healing relationships, and promote positive change.” (Nabigon et al., 2014) Without Spirit, and personal commitment, it is unlikely that any teaching or any strategy, from whichever direction, will help people attain and maintain balance. They convey a core understanding of a spiritual life. “The traditions give the guidance and support that is necessary for on-going healing and change. Serial_Number_Programming_Tool_Dealer_R01_01. Today, we will try to determine the best moving crosshair in VALORANT and provide you with their codes so you can easily copy them to your game. It is a lot different than the other crosshairs on this list as it has a large center dot with low. Some professional players prefer stable crosshairs, and some, like Hiko, choose to play with moving crosshairs. The older Counter-Strike games also have an influence on this. In order to use a custom crosshair color, players will need to head over to the in-game menus within Valorant, head over to the crosshair tab and start adjusting. So, let’s look at the best crosshair codes from Valorant pro players, streamers, and more. Having an easily identifiable crosshair color will help your shots to land every time. This crosshair comes from Seagull, who is a former Overwatch professional. It's just something that I grew out of and realized that there is more to life than counting calories, eating "super clean" and not enjoying going out to eat at restaurants or drinks with your friends. Some people ask me how I overcame orthorexia and I don't know how to answer it really. I know the majority of dietitians out there have had some sort of eating disorder, how can we not have? Going to school and learning about "good" and "bad" foods plants seeds in your brain and sometimes it's hard to shake those thoughts out of your head. It was definitely not a period of my life that I enjoyed, but in hindsight I'm happy I went through it and overcame it. I recently discovered some emails where I would over analyze and stress about every single bite of unhealthy food that I consumed. I realized I had a problem and reached out to a counselor at the campus's health clinic. In college, it was all about healthy desserts, as healthy eating was all the rage and I fell into an eating disorder called, orthorexia. She would whip up a batch of chocolate chip cookies or 7 layer bars before I knew it and the house would smell amazing.Īs I've grown up, I've taken to her ways. Growing up, my mom always had some sort of baked good in the house. They are made with oatmeal and honey and I've also been known to toss in some walnuts! I like to mix cookie dough using an electric mixer, either a hand mixer or a small stand mixer. These chewy oatmeal raisin cookies are a classic at my parents' house. Get this ingredient conversion chart to guide you! How To Make Oatmeal Raisin Cookies Remember that 1 cup of chocolate chips doesn't weigh the same as 1 cup of walnuts, so for some substitutions, you will make cup-for-cup substitutions, while for others, you may make a gram-for-gram swap. cranberry or cherry-replate the raisins with the same weight of dried cranberries or dried cherries.chocolate chip-replace the raisins with the same volume of chocolate chips to make oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. nut-free-replace the walnuts with the same weight of sunflower or pumpkin seeds (my personal preference) to make nut-free oatmeal raisin cookies. You could use pecans or almonds, or even peanuts! Use the same weight of your preferred nut. nuts-replace the walnuts with your favourite chopped nuts.Finer quick-cooking or minute oats will change the texture of these and may lead to dryer cookies, while steel-cut oats are much too hard and coarse for cookies. Tip: use large flake or rolled oats, sometimes called old-fashioned oats. nuts-I prefer walnuts in this recipe, personally.raisins-I like to use sultana or golden raisins.spices-ground cinnamon and ginger work great here.oats-use rolled oats (or large flake oats), also called old-fashioned oats-don't use quick-cooking oats or minute oats, or steel-cut oats which will affect the texture.flour-I bake with bleached all-purpose flour, but in this recipe, unbleached should work fine.If you are unsure why, read about baking soda versus baking powder.
In different ways, they both add resistance to the wheel only if you have the Damper force enabled in the Thrustmaster Control Panel. Wheel Friction and Tire Friction are both Damper forces. Self Aligning Torque is the overall strength of the force feedback. In Options & Extras > Input > Connected Devices > Thrustmaster TMX / T150 > Vibration & Feedback: Setting For modern style cars, Steering Linearity should be set to 0, or the wheel will be over sensitive when centered and harder to control. This can be useful for older cars that have a larger degree of rotation, if it feels like you are unable to turn the wheel fast enough around corners. Setting Steering Linearity to a negative value makes the steering more sensitive when the wheel is centered. In Options & Extras > Input > Connected Devices > Thrustmaster TMX / T150 > Advanced Settings: Setting Without calibration, the steering angle won't be set correctly and the wheel will feel very strange. It is very important to calibrate your wheel by highlighting the wheel and choosing Device Options. DiRT Rally 2.0 Settings In Options & Extras > Input > Connected Devices: For an in-depth look as to why, see my BOOST Force Feedback Analysis. I don't use either of these effects, they only make the wheel a little heavier and are unnecessary.īOOST should always be turned off. Some games require Spring to be on for their force feedback to work, so I keep it at 100% as a general rule.ĭamper is used in DiRT Rally 2.0 for the Wheel Friction and Tire Friction effects. Spring is not used by DiRT Rally 2.0, so the value doesn't actually matter. Set the maximum steering angle in the Thrustmaster Control Panel and calibrate the wheel in-game. Jump To: Thrustmaster Settings | DiRT Rally 2.0 SettingsĭiRT Rally 2.0 has a Soft Lock feature, so it will automatically set the proper steering angle for each car in the game. These really made a big impact on my enjoyment of the game. After doing a lot of research and my own testing, I found the best settings for the Thrustmaster TMX and T150. With that in mind, it is important to tune the force feedback settings in the game to your particular wheel. These are great entry-level wheels for their price, but they don't have the responsiveness of more expensive, higher end wheels, leading to these kind of problems. The force feedback is set too strong and it just feels like you are fighting to turn the wheel on every single corner, when it should be relatively easy. Unfortunately, the default force feedback settings in DiRT Rally 2.0 don't work very well for the Thrustmaster TMX and T150 (they are essentially the same wheel). Given the difficulty of controlling a rally car, you want to get as much information from the wheel as possible without fighting the force feedback. The game transmits a lot of information about what the car is doing through the force feedback of the wheel. Best DiRT Rally 2.0 Settings for Thrustmaster TMX / T150 Ma| Filed under: ThrustmasterĭiRT Rally 2.0, the rally car simulator from Codemasters, is best played with a force feedback wheel. I'd suggest taking a listen and see what you think. I'll eventually have to part with at least one pair but I quite liked them, during the 5 years I used them. They were replaced with a pair of Sonus Faber Concerto, but I still have them ( 2 pair in fact ) packed away in storage. The M80's are a part of that line and they sounded great in my system. Kind of an "arts and crafts" hobby.Įngineer Bob Hazelwood designed the Newton series and that line ( although not made in the USA ) were solid performers with some unique features ( the P500 and P1000 Sub come to mind). I still pick up older Ensemble, Ensemble II, and Ambiance speakers as long as they are the "classic MDF" models. I think their later chinese made models were the worst products they made. I am a fan of the early original MADE IN THE USA speakers models from CSW, designed by Henry Kloss ( especially the original "tri-pole surround" - they sounds as good as my M&K SS-150 and at 1/3rd the price back then, 1/10th now). the later products were made of ABS and manufactured in china. The early products were great, Nearly all were made of MDF and built in Newton MA. They were positioned as a "value" brand, so reviewers and many in the audio community never took them too seriously. Cambridge Soundworks as a brand was pretty much underrated. I used them with quite a few different amps, both single amp and also bi amped. I used a pair up front in my home theater system, when I moved I used them in a 2 channel set up. They are solidly built and sound great ( to me). The M80's are a completely underrated speaker. |
